Our goal is to provide best-in-class eye care for our patients to maintain healthy eyes and help them see clearly and comfortably. In order to achieve this we recommend an annual exam. Through the eye exam in conjunction with the patient's medical and family history, we are able to counsel patients on preventative methods that are designed specifically for the individual. The annual exam also allows us to diagnose eye diseases earlier, to initiate treatment where needed, and to prevent further progression.
A comprehensive eye exam includes a prescription check for glasses or contact lenses but we will also looks inside the patients' eyes to ensure that their eyes are free from any eye diseases. We also assess the patients muscle coordination, colour vision, and depth perception.
In general if the patients are between the ages of 20 to 64 the examination will not be covered by OHIP. There are exceptions and conditions to these exceptions. For further information regarding coverage please contact our office.
