Dr. Katie Yoon, O.D.

Dr. Katie Yoon completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Waterloo and received her Doctor of Optometry in 2007 from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
During her internships, Dr. Yoon was exposed to diagnosing and treating various ocular diseases including age related ocular diseases at the Hudson Valley Veteran Hospital in New York, as well as emergency eyecare at Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine in Chicago. She also spent time at the Detroit Medical Center, Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan where she fit speciality contact lenses for patients with keratoconus and to manage and prescribe therapeutics to treat dry eyes and contact lens-related infections. Dr. Yoon has special interest in control of myopic progression (nearsightedness control) for children with nearsightedness. She is certified for Vision Shaping Treatment widely known as Orthokeratology (Ortho-K). Dr. Yoon also uses soft contact lenses, pharmaceuticals and specialty lenses in glasses as an alternative to help slow down the progression of nearsightedness. After her graduation Dr. Yoon returned home and has been working in Richmond Hill/Vaughan area providing quality eye care for her patients. In order to provide best possible eye care, Dr. Yoon stays on top of latest treatment methods and optometric technology. She is also active in her community in promoting the importance of quality eye care by adopting local public schools. Dr. Yoon in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and her three children. Dr. Yoon is fluent in English and Korean. |

Dr. Anna Yoo, O.D.Dr. Anna Yoo completed her Honours Bachelors degree at the University of Waterloo. She then received her Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
Special interests include ocular disease management and pediatric eye care. She is certified to provide myopia control using Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) as well as through soft lenses and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Yoo is happy to provide patient-centered eye care to patients of all ages in the Richmond Hill and surrounding communities. Dr. Yoo is fluent in English and Korean. |
Dr. Katie Yoon and Dr. Anna Yoo are members in good standing of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, College of Optometrist of Ontario. The doctors also meet and have been accredited to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceuticals.
